Charles took a chance for Pauline and me. Pauline won $18. Met German Consul to Peru. Mr. Otto Bischoffshausen. Motion picture in the evening. Ran into a slight storm later. No sign of seasickness yet.

Pauline stayed in bed. Feeling rather tired and also a slight sore throat. Charles played the pool for me and I won. Concert in the evening with a very good violin soloist. We were awakened this morning by the fog horn — consequently no one got up until nearly noon. Charles played bridge until 4 o’clock when we all enjoyed the The’ Dansant. Movies in the evening showing a former voyage of this ship rather interesting. Dancing later in the evening.
