August 1, 1924 — Friday

We were awakened this morning by the fog horn — consequently no one got up until nearly noon. Charles played bridge until 4 o’clock when we all enjoyed the The’ Dansant. Movies in the evening showing a former voyage of this ship rather interesting. Dancing later in the evening.

August 3, 1924—Sunday

The Majestic passed us about 6 A.M. Took a walk with Mr. Muhlinghaus this morning. We saw a beautiful sight. It seemed as if there were a hundred gulls following the ship, which is a sure sign of land. About one thirty we saw Land’s End and then the rocky coast of Cornwall.
